  • Assistant Principal Named for 2013-2014 School Year

    Donnie Luna was named the Assistant Principal at the West Plains Elementary for the 2013-2014 school year. For the past three years Luna has served as the elementary principal at Dora. Prior to his role at Dora, Luna was a math instructor at West Plains High School for four years.

  • West Plains Elementary Student Wins PBS Kids Go! Award

    Zoe Cook, a third grader in Ms. Gobel's West Plains Eementary class, submitted an original story with illustrations, titled "The Snowland", to the PBS Kids Go! Writers contest.   • Summer School Will Be Held May 28th - June 20th

    West Plains Elementary will host summer school for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade beginning May 28th to June 20th, Monday through Thursday 8:00 - 3:00pm.   • West Plains Elementary MAP Boot Camp

    (April 25th, 2013) The third and fourth graders at West Plains Elementary took part in the annual "MAP Boot Camp" on April 19th in preparation for MAP testing. The students participated in relay races, scavenger hunts and brain teasers. This one day event features questions for preparation of both math and communication arts, while engaging the students in physical activity and a fun event!
