  • West Plains School Board Voted to Extend Superintendent Contract

    At the regularly scheduled January board meeting, The West Plains School District Board of Education voted unanimously to extend the contract for Dr. John Mulford through June of 2018. This decision came as part of the West Plains School Board’s annual review of the superintendent. Dr. Mulford is completing his second year as superintendent helm and has received high marks from the School Board regarding his contribution to the district and the community.

  • Sports Trivia Night

    The West Plains High School baseball team will host a sports trivia night on February 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The event will include a chili dinner and silent auction. All proceeds benefit the baseball team. For more information contact Lisa Wood at slwood1995@live.com

    Students in the transition education class at the West Plains High School have greater challenges than most because of their disabilities. But despite these challenges, the students still have dreams of living on their own, having a rewarding job and raising a family.   • Two West Plains School District Schools Adopt Project Lead The Way (PLTW) STEM Education Program to Better Prepare Students for Jobs of the Future

    The West Plains School District announced today that it has adopted the Project Lead The Way’s (PLTW) Engineering high school program for the West Plains High School and the Project Lead The Way’s Gateway middle school program for the West Plains Middle School beginning in 2015-2016. PLTW is the nation’s leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. West Plains School District joins more than 6,500 schools across the U.S. in offering PLTW programs to their students in grades K-12.
